The Pastor of a small church in Florida is planning on holding a “Burn a Koran Day” Alg_re10

The Pastor of a small church in Florida is planning on holding a “Burn a Koran Day” on September 11th, presumably as a commemoration of the September 11th attacks in New York.

Pastor Terry Jones plans on burning over 200 copies of the Koran, and insists that he has no intention of backing down: “as of this time, we have no intention of canceling,” Jones said, adding: “we are not convinced that backing down is the right thing, so on Sept. 11 we will continue with our planned event.”

Should this event actually take place, some officials fear that it would only serve to exacerbate the U.S.’s relationship with Muslims abroad, as well as at home. “It could endanger troops and it could endanger the overall effort in Afghanistan. … It is precisely the kind of action the Taliban uses and could cause significant problems. Not just here, but everywhere in the world we are engaged with the Islamic community,” said General David Petraeus, the American commander in Afghanistan.

This proposed event is one of the more striking examples of Americans’ ignorance and intolerance of Islam since the September 11th attacks; even more unfortunately, it is one that could have serious repercussions in the international, as well as the domestic community.

according to the latest news,
Pastor Terry Jones from Pentecostal church and the follower are suspending their action to burn Quran

"Given what we are now hearing, we are forced to rethink our decision," Jones said. "So as of right now, we are not canceling the event, but we are suspending it."

wen u tuh dr dl tuh anak pembawa bencana n suka cari masalah b....
cuman kelihatan macem malaikat aja d muka loe....padahal dalam hati u tuh busuk bahkan lebih busuk dr bangkai...tuh berita ma ud lama juga munculnya wen....di kaskus aja ada...pasti ud ada terjemakannya laaaa....sapa yang ga baca sech wen....emanx gue gak bisa bahasa inggris....apa loe boleh sombong dengan apa yang loe miliki sekarang wen....???!!!!kita ini manusia wen....manusia pasti ada kekurangan ma kelebihannya wen...ingat roda ma berputar trs wen....seenaknya n segampang itu kata" keluar dr mulut u mau hina temen sendiri....emanx loe tau gue gak bisa mikir????gue gak bisa inggris juga bisa mikir kira" die bilang apa..!!!!manusia ma punya logika semua...

kl sombong tu kan kata kasarnya, lebih tepatnya g bangga n bersyukur atas apa yang g miliki, ya kl ternyata loe lebih kurang, ya terima aja, g bangga kok dengan apa yang g miliki, n sekarang seperti kata loe, saat g diatas, ya g boleh berbangga diri donk, secara g dapetin semua ini bukan secara instant, tapi dengan susah payah, lah kl luw merasa kurang, ya tanya diri loe kemana saat sekolah dolo?/bener toh??
logika berguna saat kita bisa mencerna apa yang ditulis atau dibicarakan, jgn gunakan kata yang mungkin loe sendiri ga tau jelas maknyanya, cari dolo di kamus ya...
